These terms are the agreement between you and the people who operate Neonfair when you use it. They are short on purpose. How we handle your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of what you agree to by using the Service. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
The service
Neonfair (the “Service”) is a web app at neonfair.com for tracking working time. You can start and stop a timer, file time under projects, add and edit entries by hand, see your week, work out billable amounts from hourly rates, and export the results as CSV or JSON. It is operated by the people behind it (“we”, “us”), who you can reach at [email protected].
The Service works without an account. Signing in with a Google account adds syncing of your workspace between your devices.
The Service records time and does arithmetic with it. It is not an accounting, invoicing or tax tool, and it does not send invoices. Check any figure you rely on, such as an amount you bill a client, before you use it.
Accounts
- You sign in with your own Google account. You are responsible for that account and for what happens through it on the Service.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age at which you can agree to these terms where you live, if that is higher.
- Keep your access secure. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time in Settings.
Acceptable use
Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in the way it is meant to be used. Do not:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights, through the Service;
- try to read, change or delete data that belongs to another person, or try to get around the Service’s access rules;
- probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses, or interfere with it, overload it or disrupt it for others;
- use automated means to create accounts or to send requests at a volume that burdens the Service;
- copy, resell or rebrand the Service as your own.
Your data
What you put into the Service (your projects, entries, notes and settings) stays yours. We do not claim ownership of it. You give us only the permission we need to store it, process it and sync it between your devices so that the Service can work for you.
You can export your data in full at any time and delete it at any time. Without an account your data lives only in your browser, which means clearing your browser’s site data can erase it: export a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Free of charge
The Service is free at present, and nothing in it has to be paid for. If that ever changes, we will change these terms first and say so on this page.
Availability and no warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors or free of data loss, and we give no warranty of any kind about it, including that it is fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows. Rights you have by law that cannot be excluded are not affected.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of income, profit, business, data or goodwill, that arises from your use of the Service or from being unable to use it. Because the Service is free, our total liability to you for any claim about it is limited to the extent the law allows.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service whenever you like, and you can delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if it is needed to protect the Service or other people. We may also change or stop the Service; where we can, we will say so beforehand so that you can export your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be on this page with a new effective date, currently 13 October 2026. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the changed terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator of the Service is established. Mandatory consumer-protection rules where you live still apply to you.
